Youth Dialogues Photovoice Exhibit at U-M Detroit CenterJuly 12-August 23, 2008 The grand opening of Down Woodward: Bridging the Metropolitan Divide was hosted by the U-M Detroit Center on Saturday, July 12th, from 6-8 p.m. The exhibit will extend through August 23rd, 2008. Created by the Youth Leaders of the Summer Youth Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity in Metropolitan Detroit, this exhibit features photographs and reflections from young people in both the inner city and suburbs of Detroit. The NCID is proud to be the institutional home of this innovative project. Stemming from the U-M Youth and Community Program's efforts to aid youth in finding ways of seeing the impact of segregation in their communities, this exhibit will run through August 23rd at the U-M Detroit Center on Woodward Avenue. Please come to support the advancement of this work and our youth in their efforts toward that end. For questions and directions, contact the Detroit Center directly at (313) 593-3584 or www.detroitcenter.umich.edu.
